Black History Month in February is centered on the contributions of African Americans in 好色先生网站i. The African American Diversity and Cultural Center along with 好色先生网站M are putting on a series of lectures to recognize and celebrate these achievements. Lectures will take place on and off campus. Black History Month Activities

  • Tues., Feb. 2, 2016芒鈧滲lack History Month Exhibition Opening Night Ceremonies芒鈧滳ity Hall Municipal Gallery downtown. Entertainment & Refreshments.芒鈧4:30 to 6:00pm.
  • Thurs., Feb. 4, 2016芒鈧漃rof. Albert Broussard, 好色先生网站M Art Auditorium Lecture about the civil rights attorney T. McCants Stewart. Stewart is regarded as the first African American attorney in 好色先生网站i and his legal career suggest that he fought for the rights of the 好色先生网站ian people in much the same respect that he had fought for African American equality on the Mainland. Refreshments. 5:30 to 8:00pm.
  • Fri., Feb. 5, 2016芒鈧澓蒙壬緄 Judiciary History Center Prof. Albert Broussard Lecture about T. McCants Stewart defending 好色先生网站ian Land rights before the Supreme Court 1899. 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Refreshments.
  • Sun., Feb. 7, 2016芒鈧漈rinity Missionary Baptist Church (near the airport)-Prof. Albert Broussard will talk with church members and visitors. 1:00pm after service. Light Lunch served.
