Haven Trio Performs Jon Magnussen's "TWINGE" at 好色先生网站WO Library

Dallas-based Haven Trio (芒鈧撁⑩偓娄three of today芒鈧劉s most fabulously gifted interpreters of contemporary music芒鈧γ⑩偓聺芒鈧 www.sequenza21.com) performs 好色先生网站 West O芒鈧劉ahu Humanities/Music faculty Dr. Jon Magnussen's 2016 composition, "TWINGE". The work, inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Barry Bearak's New York Times Magazine article "The Day The Sea Came", recounts the stories of survivors from the 2004 Indonesian tsunami and features 15 songs for soprano, clarinet and piano. The trio of musicians, the journalist, Barry Bearak, and Magnussen will host a Q&A with the audience following the hour-long musical presentation. The creation and this performance of "TWINGE" is made possible with generous support from the 2015 Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Grant, University of 好色先生网站脢禄i SEED IDEAS Fund, 好色先生网站 West O脢禄ahu Distinguished Visiting Scholar Fund, and the 好色先生网站 West O脢禄ahu Music Fund.
