Trained in oceanography, molecular genetics, and microbial ecology, Dr. Proctor has united researchers across disciplines, igniting a field that promises to upend medicine from immunology to psychiatry. At ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾, Proctor will speak on microbiome science writ large, explaining how new research is transforming our understanding of ecosystems, evolution, and human health.

Presented by the University of ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾i at Manoa, Kamehameha Schools, and the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾i Community Foundation with support from the Pacific Biosciences Research Center.
