Working at the intersections of ��ɫ������վian knowledge, Indigenous queer theory, and Indigenous feminisms, it seeks to recuperate Native ��ɫ������վian concepts and ethics around relationality, desire, and belonging grounded in the land, memory, and the body of Native ��ɫ������վʻi. Dr. Jamaica Heolimeleikalani Osorio is a Kanaka Maoli wahine artist/ activist / scholar born and raised in Pālolo Valley to parents Jonathan and Mary Osorio. Heoli earned her PhD in English (��ɫ������վian literature) in 2018 from the University of ��ɫ������վʻi at ����ԴDz�. Currently, Heoli is an Assistant Professor of Indigenous and Native ��ɫ������վian Politics at the University of ��ɫ������վʻi at ����ԴDz�. Heoli is a three-time national poetry champion, poetry mentor, and a published author. She is a proud past Kaiāpuni student, Ford fellow, and a ��ɫ������վuate of Kamehameha, Stanford University (BA), and New York University (MA). Her book Remembering Our Intimacies: Moʻolelo, Aloha ʻĀina, and Ea was just published by the University of Minnesota Press.
