2024 ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ Venture Competition Information Session

The Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship invites all University of ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾â€˜i ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ to attend this information session to learn more about the 2024 ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ Venture Competition, sponsored by ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ian Electric and HEI, and network with other ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ to build a team. ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾VC is open to underºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾uate and ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾uate ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ of all majors on all 10 ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ System campuses. The ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾VC includes a $10,000 cash grand prize and other prizes, Free educational bootcamps to help ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ develop their business idea, and more. About ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ Venture Competition: Launching in 2000, the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ Venture Competition (formerly the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ Business Plan Competition) has grown to become one of the most exciting, feature events of the University of ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾â€˜i entrepreneurial ecosystem. The ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾VC is an intense, semester-long, experiential program that provides hands-on education, mentorship and resources to University of ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾â€™i ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾ and faculty who seek to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur and start a business venture. The competition encourages collaboration across disciplines, and engages a wide array of competitors from various fields including Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine, Art, Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering, Tropical Agriculture and Business. Through the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾VC, aspiring entrepreneurs practice the art of testing the feasibility of a business idea, developing a business plan, and pitching it to investors. A series of bootcamps, networking events, and coaching sessions are held in conjunction with the competition to enhance the competitors’ experience and to help move their ventures forward. The ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾VC is a collaborative project that engages stakeholders in the local business community who believe in entrepreneurial education, as well as University and government officials who assert that innovation and commercialization are vital components of ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúÍøÕ¾i’s economic health. More than 50 judges, mentors, and instructors volunteer their time and expertise each year.
